Keyboard Shortcuts
Fusor Studio is driven from your DJ app and your controller, so it has few keyboard shortcuts. Everything it does respond to is listed here.
Key bindings are fixed and there is no remapping screen. To fire transport actions from hardware instead, bind them on a MIDI controller: see Hardware Controller.
Where a shortcut is written Ctrl / Cmd, use Ctrl on Windows and Cmd on macOS.
Application
These work wherever Fusor Studio has focus.
| Shortcut | Does |
|---|---|
Ctrl / Cmd + N | Opens the Library popover on the Fusors tab, where + starts a new fusor. |
Ctrl / Cmd + O | Opens a file dialog and loads the .fusor you pick into the player. |
Ctrl / Cmd + , | Opens Settings. Disabled while a transition is running, along with the menu item it belongs to. See The Player Window. |
Ctrl / Cmd + Q | Quits Fusor Studio. An unsaved fusor draft prompts before anything closes. |
Ctrl / Cmd + O loads a fusor from anywhere on disk, including outside your library. The usual route is the picker or the Library popover, which only ever show fusors your library knows about. See Loading a fusor.
Editing in the Library popover
| Shortcut | Does |
|---|---|
Ctrl / Cmd + Z | Undoes the last text-field edit in the open detail view. It only fires when no field has focus, so while you are typing the key does what it always does inside a text box. Structural edits are not in the stack. See Autosave and undo. |
Enter | In a single-line field (Name, Author, Version), commits the edit. In a multi-line field it inserts a line break. |
Esc | In a single-line field, abandons the edit in progress. In the Intent and Your Notes boxes, releases focus and leaves what you typed. |
Curve and step editors
| Shortcut | Does |
|---|---|
Enter | Commits a step label you are renaming, on the curve canvas ladder or in the Toolbox's step set builder. |
Esc | Cancels the rename and leaves the old label. |
Anchors, handles and the right-click menu are mouse-driven. See Curve Editor.
Pickers, popovers and prompts
| Shortcut | Does |
|---|---|
Esc | Closes the fusor picker, or a curve preview popover, without choosing anything. |
Enter | In a naming prompt (Duplicate, effect name), confirms, the same as clicking OK. |
Esc | In a naming prompt, cancels. |
Progress strip
The bars and BPM readouts on the progress strip are editable in place.
| Shortcut | Does |
|---|---|
Enter | Commits the value you typed. |
Esc | Cancels and puts the previous value back. |
Developer console
| Shortcut | Does |
|---|---|
F12, or Ctrl + Shift + I | Opens or closes the developer console for the Library popover or the Domain Editor window, whichever is focused. |
You need this only if a support request asks for it. Everything Fusor Studio records for diagnosis goes to the log file instead. See Logging.
