Where each DJ application stands on each operating system, and the specific issues that determine when an In progress entry reaches Supported.
This page reflects internal state at the time of the last update and changes as gating issues clear.
DJ App Compatibility
Status legend:
- Supported — live-validated end to end.
- In progress — partially complete or blocked on a gating issue below.
- Researching — actively investigating feasibility; pre-implementation.
- Planned — on the roadmap, not yet started.
- Blocked — work paused pending an external dependency.

Gating Issues
djay Pro does not emit MIDI feedback
Scope: djay Pro — all operating systems.
Impact: djay does not send MIDI on the virtual bus when its controls change. Without feedback, Fusor cannot observe deck transport, tempo, or crossfader position on djay, so end-to-end live validation and Manual Role Swap on djay remain blocked.
Unblocks when: Algoriddim confirms whether MIDI output is supported. If it is not, we will document the reduced-feedback workflow djay supports today.
VirtualDJ mapping live-validation
Scope: VirtualDJ — all operating systems.
Impact: The generated VirtualDJ mapping (Fusor.xml) ships, but the round-trip has not been confirmed against a live VirtualDJ instance.
Unblocks when: The open VirtualDJ forum question covering channelised CC routing on virtual buses is answered.
Windows MIDI Services WinMM-shim handle latch (I-018)
Scope: Windows — affects WMS BLOOP / UMP endpoints.
Impact: On Windows MIDI Services release candidates, the WinMM compatibility shim can latch the output handle once a peer app cycles its port: subsequent midiOutShortMsg calls return a non-zero rc for the lifetime of that handle. Tracks upstream microsoft/midi issues 968, 970, and 981.
Unblocks when: Upstream WMS fix lands. Workaround today is to route Fusor over a loopMIDI virtual port instead of the WMS BLOOP endpoint.
macOS port
Scope: macOS — all DJ apps.
Impact: Fusor Studio is Windows-only today. macOS is on the roadmap but unscheduled until Windows DJ-app coverage stabilises.
Unblocks when: Internal scheduling once Traktor, Mixxx, djay Pro, and VirtualDJ all reach Supported on Windows.
